.: Roland VP9000 VariPhrase

contributed by: Andre Cato
Manufacturer: Roland

Remixers, DJ's and producers alike need to stand up and take notice!

The Roland VP-9000 VariPhrase Processor represents a giant leap forward in audio processing and sample-based music-making technology.

This revolutionary new product is capable of capturing audio and providing realtime manipulation of pitch, time, and formant using MIDI control while maintaining the original sample's sound quality.

So basically the VP-9000 is a re-mixing machine from hell!

VariPhrase With VariPhrase, audio becomes elastic, allowing it to be transformed in a completely non-destructive environment.

So you can instantly match phrase loops from different sources to the same key and tempo, bend notes in realtime without changing the sample's length, modify the duration of notes held within a phrase, add swing to a straight drum loop or even modulate the formant of a sample without affecting the pitch or tempo.

Put simply, the VP-9000 will forever change the way musicians interact with audio.
