.: The Original DJ Tool...

contributed by: Andre Cato
Manufacturer: Technics

The Technics SL1200 has a 20-year reputation for uncompromising performance and reliability.

This legendary direct-drive table gives you high torque for quick start-ups, a highly sensitive low-mass tonearm with gimbal suspension and height adjustment, quartz-locked continuous pitch adjustments up to ±8%, and unwavering quartz accuracy. A molded aluminum diecast cabinet and a heavy rubber base material help absorb unwanted vibrations.

This is industry standard and can be found in not only every aspiring dj's bedroom but in the clubs and at parties world wide. Basically what a 1200 turntable allows you to do over other turntables is : a. Adjust the pitch(tempo and pitch) in order to match the bpm to other music b.

The stable direct-drive allows the dj to quickly throw in the music at the same tempo without the device needing to speed up as in a belt driven turntable.
